Synopsis
Remy is a cheerful and tender-hearted girl living with her mother in a French country town. One day, her father returns after a long period working away from home in a city. He reveals to Remy that she is not their real daughter, and she nearly gets sold to an evil slave trader. It is Vitalis, a strolling entertainer, who steps in to help Remy. After discovering her talent for singing, Vitalis decides to take her in with his troupe.
