Synopsis

Continues the story of Big Windup!

In Big Windup!, Ren Mihashi was the ace pitcher for his middle school baseball team, but his weak throws led to constant losses. The defeats caused harassment from his teammates, who eventually gave up on winning. As a result, Mihashi graduated with very low self-esteem. To escape his past, he enrolls in a high school in another prefecture, intending to stay away from baseball. However, at Nishiura High, he is compelled to join the newly formed baseball team as their starting pitcher. Despite his initial reluctance, Mihashi starts to feel accepted for who he is at Nishiura. Under the encouragement of catcher Takaya Abe, he slowly builds confidence in his abilities. Abe, seeing Mihashi's hidden talent, aims to help him grow into a pitcher deserving of the "ace" title.

The story resumes directly from the events of the first season. Ren Mihashi, the ace pitcher for the newly formed Nishiura High School baseball team, and his teammates take on Sakitama High School in the following round of the High School Baseball Invitational Tournament, striving to reach the finals at the legendary Hanshin Koushien Stadium.
