Synopsis
Because of environmental decay, the collapse of ecosystems, and large-scale conflicts involving nuclear and biological weapons since the 20th century, the Earth has been reduced to a wasteland. The ground has caved in and become toxic, and countless species of plants and animals have vanished. The planet has entered its sixth mass extinction: the Big Six. During this era, humanity constructed the aero police as a sanctuary for endangered creatures. Inside this floating city, over many years, animals underwent genetically modified breeding and evolved. They eventually became bipedal, gained the ability to speak, and built their own civilization, living in peace. No one gives any thought to the world outside, the terrestrial realm below—until one day, children aboard the aero police discover an unknown seed that came from the outside world. Their adventure into the unseen terrestrial world begins—unaware that once they descend to the ground, they will never be able to return.
