Synopsis
In "Neighborhood Stories," sixteen-year-old Mikako Kouda dreams of launching her own clothing line and attends the prestigious Yazawa Art School alongside her childhood friend Tsutomu Yamaguchi. Although they share playful moments and a deep bond that frequently makes others think they are a couple, both Mikako and Tsutomu insist they view each other only as friends. Their relationship takes a turn when Tsutomu begins to resemble Ken Nakagawa, the charismatic lead singer of the popular band Manbou. As Tsutomu attracts more attention from girls, the two must reconsider their connection and what it signifies for them regarding romance and friendship.
