Senryu Girl

Synopsis

At Karai High School, students view Nanako Yukishiro as a charming and serene 16-year-old. Yet Nanako is no ordinary student; she is unable to speak and expresses herself through senryu, a type of 17-syllable poetry. Eiji Busujima, also 16, was a middle school delinquent but turned his life around after discovering his passion for senryu. Despite his rough appearance, Eiji grows close to Nanako through their shared membership in the Literature Club. Although Nanako cannot speak, she and Eiji find it easy to connect. "Senryu Girl" is a gentle, soothing story about these two teenagers and their everyday lives.
