Synopsis

In modern Germany, a wave of "Amalgams" is causing widespread destruction. These cybernetic beings emerge from decaying flesh and can combine with machines to gain enhanced powers. As society struggles against this threat, the Xenogenesis Assault Team (XAT) is created to fight the Amalgams and study the newly discovered "amalgamated" humans—individuals capable of rational thought and far more dangerous than the mindless Amalgams. Joseph Jobson is an amalgamated human with full control over his abilities. Despite his effectiveness as a solo fighter, a chance meeting with Gerd Frentzen, who has just become an Amalgam, makes Joseph a primary target for the XAT. While evading their pursuit and seeking new allies, Joseph transforms into the Blassreiter, the most powerful Amalgam seen so far. With his new powers, Joseph must fight to uncover the secrets of his past and the larger Amalgam crisis.
