Set in an alternate version of Germany, the narrative follows the sudden emergence of biomechanical creatures called Demoniacs, which originate from deceased humans and indiscriminately assault the living. These entities can fuse with various forms of machinery, particularly vehicles like cars and motorcycles, allowing them to control and boost the performance of these machines. The Xenogenesis Assault Team (XAT), a specialized unit tasked with battling the Demoniacs and maintaining peace, confronts this menace. Meanwhile, certain humans who transform into Demoniacs employ their newfound abilities for benevolent purposes, while others yield to malevolence. Among them, one individual rises above the rest to earn the title Blassreiter.
