Synopsis
Continues the story of Saiyuki: Requiem
The group is journeying when they come across a girl who appears to be in distress. Naturally, none of them can resist rushing to her aid. However, this girl is not what she appears to be—neither her true intentions nor her "humanity" are as they seem. Before long, the entire gang finds themselves confronted with Sanzo's past, and a particular young boy who is capable of holding a grudge for years on end.
In this installment
From the heavens descends a brilliant light, unveiling the Pearl Jade—a legendary treasure said to grant any wish. Dr. Ni notifies Gyokumen Koushu of its emergence, but Lirin overhears the conversation and passes the information to Kougaiji. At the same time, Kanzeon Bosatsu, the Merciful Goddess, charges Sanzo and their companions with the vital duty of finding and safeguarding the Pearl Jade, ensuring it does not end up in dangerous hands.
