Synopsis
Continues the story of Nine
Before entering Seishuu High School, sprinter Katsuya Niimi and judoka Susumu Karasawa encounter a girl crying after her father's baseball team loses a game. Wanting to make her smile again, they choose to join the baseball team to improve its performance. They learn the crying girl is Yuri Nakao, the coach's daughter, and that the team may be disbanded unless they start winning. The story follows this trio along with pitcher Eiji Kurahashi as Niimi and Karasawa get into baseball and come to appreciate what it means to be one of the nine players on the field, working together through high school to reach Koushien.
