For the last decade, gates linking to monster-infested dimensions have emerged across the globe, spawning creatures immune to standard weaponry. Simultaneously, individuals have awakened superhuman powers, earning the title of hunters. These hunters venture into dungeons found within the gates, frequently organizing into guilds to earn a living. Sung Jin-Woo, infamous as the weakest E-rank hunter, investigates what appears to be a routine dungeon. Accompanied by his team, he uncovers a hidden passage and, lured by the prospect of treasure, they push deeper inside. The group soon faces lethal dangers; while Jin-Woo barely survives the ordeal, he discovers a mysterious, exclusive interface. This system grants him the power he always desired, yet every ability exacts a heavy price.

As dungeon incidents multiply around him, concealing his escalating power becomes increasingly difficult. Following a harrowing escape from a far more dangerous dungeon alongside several low-ranked hunters, Jin-Woo once again attracts the attention of various hunter guilds. Simultaneously, a mysterious hunter who vanished a decade ago resurfaces to deliver a grim warning regarding an impending catastrophe. With disaster looming, Jin-Woo must keep leveling up to achieve his ultimate goal: saving his mother's life.
