Summary
Sung Il-Hwan is an S-Rank Hunter of the Unidentified Class and the father of Jin-Woo. He is deeply devoted to his family and possesses a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who threatens them or obstructs his path. This ferocity was demonstrated when he brutally beat Hwang Dong-Su after discovering that the man had lied to him about Jin-Woo’s current status and had also deceived the Americans by claiming Jin-Woo was a monster. Approximately a decade before the narrative begins, Il-Hwan vanished mysteriously within a dungeon during a raid. His family assumed he had died, forcing his wife to raise their children alone. Six years after his disappearance, his wife succumbed to Eternal Slumber. This tragedy compelled Jin-Woo to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a hunter, a career choice driven by the need to support himself and his sister while covering the medical expenses for his mother’s condition.
