Synopsis
Mikihisa Komaki, an operative of the Library Task Force (LTF), has shared a close bond with his neighbor Marie Nakazawa since her childhood, despite their ten-year age gap. Their connection endures through all hardships, even when Marie loses her hearing during middle school, and Komaki continues to stand by her by regularly choosing books for her to read. One morning, the Media Betterment Committee arrests Komaki, charging him with violating a minor's privacy by recommending a book containing inappropriate material. Recognizing that the "interrogation" Komaki is subjected to amounts to torture, the LTF members rush to rescue him before it is too late.
Background
Toshokan Sensou: Koi no Shougai is an unaired episode that was bundled with the third DVD volume of Toshokan Sensou. The special was also included in the Blu-ray box of the series, which was released on June 8, 2012.
