Synopsis

In the world's first full-dive VRMMO, Sword Art Online—or SAO—what was supposed to be an unmatched gaming experience became a dangerous adventure where dying in the game means dying in real life. Emirun and Rex, who know each other from the real world, unexpectedly meet again inside SAO. They join a scouting group focused on learning how to survive in this merciless game. During one of their missions, they come across a mysterious Player Killer called the Black Swordsman. When Emirun rushes to the spot, he or she finds Rex in a hopeless state, with the Black Swordsman standing over him or her; the Black Swordsman had wiped out their entire scouting party. Determined to get revenge for their fallen comrades, Emirun and Rex set out to find the legendary swordswoman prodigy, Asuna, and begin intense training under her guidance. In this deadly game where other players can become enemies, what new beginning awaits Emirun and Rex after their relentless pursuit...?
