In "Free! The Movie -Timeless Medley- the Bond," Haruka Nanase and his former rival Rin Matsuoka mend their relationship, renewing their bond and agreeing to challenge one another in the pool once more. Alongside his teammates Makoto Tachibana, Rei Ryuugazaki, and Nagisa Hazuki, Haruka prepares for upcoming competitions, determined to swim with full energy and succeed as a united team. At Samezuka Academy, Rin remains focused on pursuing his own goals. As the senior students near graduation, Rin has already mapped out his next steps, while Haruka and Makoto face the weight of deciding their individual futures, feeling the pressure of choosing their own paths ahead.

In this installment

Sousuke Yamazaki, a longtime friend of Rin Matsuoka, transfers to Samezuka Academy. As they reunite, they reflect on past experiences and share a mutual desire to swim together again. The addition of Sousuke to the Samezuka relay team, which already includes Captain Mikoshiba's younger brother Momotarou Mikoshiba and the dedicated Aiichirou Nitori, strengthens their bond. As competitions, races, and training continue, Sousuke's sudden transfer begins to take a toll on him, affecting his performance in the pool. Noticing the change in Sousuke, Rin is determined to find out what is troubling his friend.
