Baby and Me

Synopsis

Fifth-grader Takuya Enoki has been carrying a heavy burden ever since his mother died in a car accident months ago. He must care for his baby brother Minoru while their father, a typical Japanese salaryman, is frequently away working long hours. Takuya sacrifices much of his own childhood to handle cooking, cleaning, and dealing with Minoru's crying and tantrums. Even though the neighbors criticize Minoru's constant wailing, Takuya keeps going. Seeing his friends live carefree lives makes his struggle even harder, but through these hardships, he might discover what family truly means.
