Synopsis

In "The Detective Is Already Dead," Kimihiko Kimizuka keeps getting caught up in criminal incidents against his own wishes. His life is thrown into chaos when he is kidnapped and placed on a hijacked plane. During this crisis, he encounters Siesta, a mysterious silver-haired woman who single-handedly resolves the situation. Siesta, who reveals herself as a legendary detective, asks Kimihiko to become her partner. Though he initially refuses, her persistent persuasion eventually leads him to join her on a worldwide journey to confront various threats to humanity. Three years of thrilling and joyful adventures come to an abrupt end when Siesta unexpectedly dies. Heartbroken, Kimihiko tries to erase all memories of her, but as he interacts with new people, he realizes that Siesta's influence on his life remains unforgettable.
