Synopsis
In the secluded village of Sotoba, where every resident is familiar with one another, tranquility is shattered by an inexplicable tragedy: the death of Megumi Shimizu, a spirited young girl. As the oppressive summer heat intensifies and further mysterious fatalities occur, Dr. Toshio Ozaki grows convinced that a sinister force lies behind the incidents. Toshio teams up with the introverted teenager Natsuno Yuuki and the Tanaka siblings, Kaori and Akira, who were close friends of Megumi, to probe the bizarre deaths afflicting the town. Their joint investigation eventually reveals a terrifying secret tied to the family that has recently moved into the Kanemasa mansion.
