Synopsis
The brilliant robotics scientist Dr. Komyoji built Jiro, a humanoid robot capable of transforming into Kikaider, who was given the assignment of protecting Dr. Komyoji's children, Masaru and Mitsuko. Equipped with a conscience circuit that enables the simulation of genuine emotions and aids in discerning good from evil, Jiro must defend Mitsuko and Masaru against the wicked Dr. Gil, who seeks to recruit Jiro into his army for the purpose of conquering the world. This series presents a more somber take on the original live-action tokusatsu show Jinzou Ningen Kikaida, introducing or deepening numerous emotional struggles within Kikaida and among other characters that were absent from the original Kikaida narrative.
Background
The series initially begins as a darker version of the original live action tokusatsu show Jinzou Ningen Kikaida, creating and expanding many emotional conflicts within Kikaida and other characters which were not present in the original Kikaida story.
