Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon

Synopsis

In a Japan overrun by kaiju, Kafka Hibino makes a living by eliminating these monstrous creatures. Reuniting with his childhood friend Mina Ashiro, who has become a prominent member of the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force, Kafka reignites his old dream of joining the same organization. His goal takes an unexpected turn when he suddenly transforms into the powerful "Kaiju No. 8." With assistance from his fellow trainee Reno Ichikawa, Kafka conceals his secret while striving to qualify for the Defense Force through their demanding exams, all while aiming to stand alongside Mina. The situation intensifies when intelligent and mysterious kaiju attack a Defense Force facility, forcing Kafka to make a critical choice during this dire emergency.
