Synopsis

In a futuristic Japan, the government enforces "The Red Threads of Science," a policy to raise birth rates by algorithmically pairing sixteen-year-olds with marriage partners, imposing harsh penalties for non-compliance. Yukari Nejima, an ordinary teen, sees this mandated union as his only path to happiness. Yet, driven by his strong feelings for classmate Misaki Takasaki, he defies the system and confesses his love. Despite initial hesitation, Misaki reciprocates during a brief but intense moment. As their relationship grows, Yukari faces impending trouble upon receiving his official marriage assignment. His appointed partner, the unenthusiastic Ririna Sanada, discovers his secret affair and becomes oddly intrigued by his forbidden romance.
