Synopsis
In the 21st century, Earth's environment degraded to a point where it could no longer sustain life, forcing humanity to escape to Planet Zi, the home of the metal-based lifeforms called Zoids. After many centuries, Zi itself faces destruction, prompting its inhabitants to embark on a mission to reclaim Earth. In order to make Earth livable again, the settlers carry out a plan called "Zi-Forming." But this scheme goes wrong, causing massive chaos. Earth becomes overrun with Zoids and suffers from erratic weather patterns, making survival extremely tough for the colonists. Both the Empire and Republic colonies resort to digging up Zoids from beneath Earth’s surface to strengthen their military forces. The story follows Leo Conrad and Buzz Cunningham, two second-generation humans born on Earth, who cross paths with Sally Land as she tries to escape capture by the Empire.
