Synopsis

Planet Zi was devastated by natural disasters that wiped out nearly all life. A thousand years later, humanity has slowly rebuilt civilization, recovering ancient Zoids through diving and mining. In one village, the most treasured possession is a giant sword, worshiped as a holy symbol. While on a deep-sea salvage dive, a teenage boy discovers an ancient Liger-type Zoid. Suddenly, the village comes under attack from skeletal Bio-Zoids, who are after a powerful generator hidden there. The boy awakens the Liger and realizes the village's sacred sword is actually the Liger's weapon. Together, they fend off the mysterious Bio-Zoids—at least for now.
