Synopsis

Kizuna Ranmaru Samejima, a skilled young kendo practitioner, catches the eye of Kei Enjoji, the illegitimate child of a yakuza boss. Kei works to build a bond with Ranmaru founded on trust and sacrifice, and their friendship gradually develops into a romantic relationship. When Ranmaru saves Kei from a yakuza ambush, he is forced to give up kendo forever, leaving them with only their unshakable faith in each other. Committed to supporting one another outside the dangerous yakuza world, they move in together as a couple. However, the return of a mysterious figure seeking Ranmaru pulls them back into the very world they tried to escape, testing whether their love can withstand such trials.

In this installment

On the first day of junior high, Kei Enjoji became deeply infatuated with Ranmaru Samejima, a gifted young kendo athlete. Over time, their bond grew into a strong romantic relationship, and now as adults, they share a happy home together. One evening, after a night of drinking with a client, Kei returns home, and Ranmaru notices several troubling clues: Kei's clothes smell of perfume, there are lipstick marks on Kei's chest, and Kei carries matchbooks from a love hotel. The situation worsens when a woman calls the apartment asking for "Kei-chan," causing Ranmaru to lose their temper. Feeling betrayed by Kei's actions, Ranmaru leaves the apartment and spends the day reflecting on their shared history. Determined to move on, Ranmaru encounters a woman on the street and, accepting the reality, decides to release the past. If Kei has truly found someone else, Ranmaru concludes, it is not their place to interfere.
