Synopsis

In the 21st century, the Galaxy Express 999 is preparing to depart from Earth on its journey to the Great Andromeda. While visiting a museum, Maetel and Tetsuro encounter a mysterious girl named Jula, who appears suddenly. She foretells the downfall of humanity before vanishing into outer space. Determined to follow her, Maetel and Tetsuro board the 999. Tetsuro locates Jula on the asteroid Itokawa, a site previously explored by the Hayabusa probe. Once again, Jula disappears into space, but her spacecraft crashes into an asteroid and plummets toward Jupiter. Can Tetsuro save Jula? And what does she truly mean by the "fall of the human race"? This epic tale transcends time and space, following the 999 as it travels through the stars of our solar system.
