Synopsis
In the series Heppoko Jikken Animation Excel♥Saga, Il Palazzo, the enigmatic leader of the ACROSS organization, aims to conquer Fukuoka as a preliminary step toward global domination. To achieve this, he assigns two inexperienced agents, Excel and Hyatt, to carry out his schemes. Despite their good intentions, Excel and Hyatt repeatedly fail in their missions due to interference from the City Security team, which comprises three ordinary men, a strict female officer, and several robots. Their misadventures consistently result in death and widespread destruction. Excel♥Saga follows the endless chaos and mayhem that unfolds as Excel and Hyatt continuously botch their assignments, creating a never-ending series of mishaps and calamities.
Background
At the publisher's request, the anime series follows a different storyline from the manga. The twenty-sixth episode Going Too Far was deliberately created to be too violent and obscene for broadcast in Japan and was instead included as a DVD bonus.
