Synopsis
The story is an impressive sports manga that focuses on ordinary boys instead of heroes, following the growth of the Sumiya 2 junior high school baseball team (including its successive captains and players) in downtown Tokyo. Takao Taniguchi, previously a substitute player on the second team of Aoba Gakuin—a prestigious junior high school in the baseball world—transfers to Sumiya 2 and becomes the captain of the baseball club. Through steady training, the team strives to reach a decisive final game in the regional preliminaries against Aoba Gakuin.
