Synopsis

In the world Takeshi Nanase believed he knew, a hidden realm of magic-users coexists with the ordinary. One summer morning, while heading to kendo practice, Takeshi encounters an injured girl in an unfamiliar uniform. After he helps her, she unintentionally bestows magical abilities upon him when she regains consciousness. Takeshi then learns about the dual existence of magic users and non-magic users, with most wizards desiring peaceful coexistence. Mui Aiba, a student at Subaru Magic Academy, is part of this community where magic users learn to control their powers and maintain harmony with regular people. Following that chance encounter, Takeshi chooses to join Mui along with his newfound magical companions, Kurumi Isoshima and Kazumi Ida, at the academy. Driven by personal motives ranging from atonement to advancement, each of the three possesses distinct magical talents they must master to fight the Ghost Trailers, a faction of wizards intent on dominating humanity through force. As Takeshi and his allies train to strengthen their abilities, they are tasked with confronting the Ghost Trailers' leader and preventing the outbreak of the Second Great Magic War.
