Summary
Hitomi is Zenkichi's mother, a physician specializing in the study and identification of abnormalities in young children. Sharing her son's caring nature, she deeply loves him and is highly respected by Medaka and others. Her influence is so strong that she can effortlessly persuade Medaka to adopt a more conservative wardrobe. Aware of the threat posed by Misogi Kumagawa, Hitomi has tracked his movements since his childhood, although she has been unable to stop him. When Kumagawa appears at Hakoniwa, she enrolls as a student in Zenkichi's class, much to his embarrassment. Despite resembling a twelve-year-old, which led Akune to mistake her for Zenkichi's sister, she is a master of Savate and skilled in combat using needles, marking pins, and surgical thread. She proves capable of holding her own against Misogi Kumagawa.
