Born on September 30, Asuna begins her journey in Sword Art Online at age 15, standing 168 cm tall. She quickly rises to prominence as a sub-leader of the Knights of the Blood, a guild of roughly thirty members often regarded as the strongest in Aincrad. Her close friendship with Kirito is well-known, and her reputation is further solidified by her exceptional combat prowess. Possessing lightning-fast sword skills, she earns the nickname "Flash." Her weapon of choice evolves from the Wind Fleuret on the first floor to the Lambent Light, which is forged by Lisbeth. As one of the few female players in the game, and noted for her striking beauty, she frequently receives invitations and proposals from other players. Throughout her time in Aincrad, she ages to 17 by the end of the Fairy Dance arc, 18 during the Phantom Bullet arc, and 19 during the Alicization Arc.
