Kagurabachi Anime Secures Crunchyroll Worldwide Simulcast for 2027

The acclaimed revenge-driven shonen series Kagurabachi has locked in a major streaming home. Crunchyroll announced it will simulcast the TV anime adaptation worldwide outside Japan and select Asian markets when the show launches in April 2027, delivering episodes alongside the domestic broadcast.
Based on Takeru Hokazono’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga, which has surpassed four million copies in circulation, the story centers on Chihiro Rokuhira. After a devastating attack by the Hishaku sorcerer organization claims his father’s life and six powerful enchanted blades, the young swordsmith’s apprentice sets out on a blood-soaked path of retribution wielding the seventh blade, Enten.
Cypic is producing the adaptation under director Tetsuya Takeuchi with character designs by Keigo Sasaki. Taihi Kimura voices protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira and Tomokazu Seki plays his father Kunishige. Katsuyuki Konishi joins the cast as Togo Shiba, a veteran sorcerer and longtime Rokuhira ally whose easygoing exterior hides formidable strength and deep ties to the story’s world.
Fans can catch early footage sooner than expected. A world tour of special events begins in July, offering 20-minute previews of the first episode at Anime Expo, Japan Expo, AnimagiC, Otakon, and Anime NYC, with full episode screenings planned for Japan in spring 2027.
