Jun Fukuyama Joins Liar Game Anime as Nearco

Jun Fukuyama, the voice behind Lelouch vi Britannia in Code Geass and Koro-sensei in Assassination Classroom, has been cast as Nearco in the TV anime of Shinobu Kaitani's Liar Game. The addition was announced alongside the character's appearance in episode 11.

Nearco serves as a co-host and dealer at Liar Game headquarters, helping run the "Contraband Game" with his partner Leronira. Distinguished by his distinctive mask, the role brings one of anime's most versatile performers into the psychological thriller's high-stakes world of deception.

In his comment, Fukuyama noted the enduring pull of the manga's exploration of human greed and vice, describing the recording sessions as a reminder of how gripping the material remains. He hopes Nearco will add to viewers' enjoyment as the mind games intensify.
