Synopsis
Continues the story of Utawarerumono: The False Faces
Deep within a dense forest, a man without any memories wakes up, completely alone and confused. His bewilderment increases until he encounters Kuon, a young girl with animal-like features. She saves him from boro-gigiri, enormous centipedes, and a mysterious red slime, then guides him to her village. There, he is given the name Haku after a local historical figure. He comes to realize he is the only villager lacking animal ears and a tail. As they travel toward Yamato, the country where Kuon lives, they meet various people and build strong bonds. Without their knowledge, their journey becomes entangled with Yamato's political conflicts and internal struggles. The narrative of Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen unfolds as Haku explores the mysteries of his world, fights to uncover the truth behind the red slimes, and strives to prevent an impending war between neighboring nations.
