Synopsis
Residing on Whale Island, young Gon Freecss succeeds in capturing the local legend known as the Master of the Swamp. Upon presenting the colossal fish to his aunt Mito, she honors her pledge to let him attempt the notorious Hunter Exam. This test grants successful candidates rare travel rights and privileges, drawing thousands of applicants annually despite the extreme risks. Gon aims to emulate his father, a renowned Hunter, and personally understand the allure of the profession. As he embarks on this path, he encounters the initial challenges among many that the examination will present.
