Synopsis
Haunted by her past, first-year high schooler Saki Miyanaga despises mahjong and tries to remain unnoticed whenever she plays. Her friend Kyoutarou Suga forces her to join the school’s mahjong club, where she encounters Nodoka Haramura, the reigning national middle school champion, and fellow member Yuuki Kataoka. During a match, Saki attempts to conceal her skills, but club president Hisa Takei detects her unique playstyle and tests her, revealing a level of talent that shatters Nodoka’s ego and creates immediate tension. After Saki officially joins the team and resolves the conflict with Nodoka, their friendship develops. As Saki rediscovers her love for the game, she and her clubmates set their sights on one objective: victory at the national championships.
