Anime Like Space Pirate Captain Harlock: Riddle of the Arcadia Episode

In a far-off future, Earth is a barren wasteland and humanity has vanished completely. Only sentient robots remain. They were meant to be immortal—until the death of the one named Luna triggered the Ruin. Their bodies corrode, and no cure exists. Now the robots can only dwell on their own end, sustained solely by the rumor that consuming the one called Casshern grants eternal life. Casshern remembers nothing of his past, his purpose, or his very nature. Yet he must uncover these truths, or else endure the unrelenting pursuit of robots desperate to stave off death. Wherever Casshern goes, he leaves death in his wake, but he must confront that reality if he is to discover the truth about this world.

In Victorian-era Britain, the steam-driven Industrial Revolution fuels the empire's energy. Young James Ray Steam, following his renowned family of inventors, spends his days in Manchester tinkering at local factories and scavenging parts for his own projects. One day, a package arrives from his grandfather, who is working in the United States alongside Ray's father, containing a peculiar ball fitted with a valve. Soon after, agents from the O'Hara Foundation burst into his home, demanding he surrender it. Panicked and bewildered, Ray races to the home of his grandfather's associate, Robert Stephenson, with pursuers close behind. As he tries to unravel the ball's mystery and the power it holds, nearly every force in the British Empire seems determined to snatch it away from him.

What started as a routine job escalates into the most significant case they have ever faced. Are these girls truly willing to risk their lives for literature?

Tadashi Daiba becomes their target after his scientist father is dismissed by the authorities and murdered by the Mazone. He then joins Captain Herlock and his motley crew of pirates, aiding their mission to protect humanity from the extraterrestrial threat.

By 2199, Earth lies in ruins following a brutal assault by the Gamilas Empire. Survivors have retreated underground to avoid the irradiated wasteland above, but as the deadly radiation steadily encroaches, their refuge becomes untenable. With total extinction looming in just one year, desperation replaces hope. Every previous effort to flee or fight back has been swiftly crushed by the alien forces. However, a desperate transmission from the distant planet Iscandar in a neighboring galaxy offers a potential lifeline. In secret, Earth's Self Defense Force develops a super-speed engine for the voyage. The World War II era battleship Yamato is retrofitted with advanced weaponry and manned by a brave crew, transforming into the Space Battleship Yamato. Together, they embark on a dangerous trek across the cosmos to rescue humanity from its impending doom.

Things in Tomobiki are even more unusual than usual. The students are working hard to prepare for the first day of the student fair, which is supposed to happen the following day. But problems arise when certain individuals notice that the next day simply never arrives. As the students try to find the reason behind this, their concepts of reality and the world of dreams are put to the test.

To locate his beloved partner, Wu Liuqi travels back to Xuanwu Country and confronts the pieces of his past he had long forgotten. While the uncovered truth stirs up pain and rage, he no longer has to face it by himself. He must now consider what the true meaning of power is, forcing Wu Liuqi to make a fresh decision regarding his future.

When everyone in Tomobiki receives an invitation to Ataru's wedding, Lum goes ballistic—especially since she is not listed as the bride! The reason dates back eleven years, when Ataru played "Shadow Tag" with a young girl named Elle and won. Unfortunately, Elle is yet another alien princess, and on her home planet, stepping on a girl's shadow means they have to marry. When Elle's emissary arrives to make the arrangements, Lum redefines "the atmosphere was electric," but to no avail: a force field now protects Ataru from her high-voltage love zaps. Lum's friend Benten suggests a preemptive wedding, so they proceed to abduct Ataru and all the wedding guests, setting the stage for the shotgun wedding of all time!

The Gun Frontier is a harsh, barren wasteland where the weak have no right to dream. It is also a sacred territory for true men, offering a place where a man can feel most alive. Into this frontier come Sea Pirate Captain Harlock and the wandering samurai Tochiro, arriving in the United States' Old West. Accompanied by an enigmatic woman they encounter on their journey, the two friends take on sex rings, bandits, and a corrupt sheriff. Their goal is to find a vanished clan of Japanese immigrants, and they intend to scour the Gun Frontier from one end to the other until they succeed.

Li Meifon leads a complimentary protection and security firm that escorts vessels through outer space at no charge. Despite being only 16 years old, she demonstrates remarkable ability and leadership while commanding her crew aboard their ship, the Angel Links. However, disturbing recollections begin to surface, causing her to doubt her own history and purpose. Follow Li Meifon and the Angel Links crew as they journey across the Oracion star system, contending with pirates, governmental factions, and a Tao master, all while gradually revealing Meifon's concealed and shadowy origins.

Ryo, Gawl, and Koji are three youths who journey to the past with a single goal: to alter the course of history. In their own era, they discover that their nation, Kubere, employs genetically enhanced individuals known as generators as military weapons. These generators trigger the Third War, which wipes out most of humanity. So Koji, Ryo, and Gawl have arrived to prevent those events from happening.

When Lum was born, a postal error caused a witch who was a friend of the family not to receive an invitation to the celebration. In retaliation, the witch placed a curse on Lum, ensuring she would never find happiness with her True Love. In the present day, a new Amusement Park opens in Tomobiki, and on opening day the whole gang is there enjoying the attractions. During a magic show, Ataru is transformed into a giant pink hippopotamus—for real! As Lum tries to find the magician who changed her Darling, events grow increasingly bizarre and surreal.

Lupica, yet another space princess who apparently discovered Earth through some travel guide, shows up and kidnaps Ataru! However, she isn't after him for his looks or personality—he has neither. Lupica seeks the galaxy's most powerful love potion, which she plans to use to make her beloved agree to marry her. To obtain it, she requires the being with the strongest libido in the universe.

During an archaeological expedition to the farthest reaches of known space, Professor Daiba accidentally frees an ancient horror from its prison. Five years later, this malevolent alien force launches a scheme that brings together the scattered crew of the Arcadia for a new voyage through the stars, while also causing Tadashi Daiba to encounter Harlock for the first time—again.

The Urusei Yatsura narrative reaches its peak in this animated adaptation of the final manga story (though not the last movie). Another of Lum's suitors, Lupa, arrives, forcing Lum and Ataru to replay their game of tag to keep Earth from being obliterated. To win, Ataru needs only to utter "I love you"—the three words he has stubbornly never spoken to Lum. Will he confess his genuine feelings and rescue the planet? Or will his stubbornness leave it to face annihilation?
