Synopsis
This episode served as the debut installment of Mushi Pro Land, a distinctive anthology of hour-long animated features, and marked the first sixty-minute animated television program in Japan. However, the full series was never produced, with only this single episode ever broadcast. Its narrative adapts Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island," reimagining the cast as anthropomorphic animals. The pirate Long John Silver appears as a wolf, while protagonist Jim Hawkins takes the form of a rabbit. Consequently, this production bears no connection to Osamu Tezuka's celebrated manga "New Treasure Island."
