Synopsis
Jun Sakurada, traumatized by his school experiences, isolates himself at home, ordering items online only to return them before their free trial periods expire. When a mysterious note appears on his desk asking if he would wind something, he assumes it's another purchase and carelessly circles "yes," a decision that transforms his existence. A package arrives containing a wind-up doll, but it's no ordinary plaything: after Jun winds her, she moves and speaks like a real person. With an arrogant demeanor, she announces herself as Shinku, the fifth doll in the Rozen Maiden series—special creations of the legendary dollmaker Rozen. These sisters are compelled to fight one another in a contest called the Alice Game, each assisted by a human to secure victory. The triumphant doll becomes Alice, a genuine girl worthy of meeting their creator. As more sentient dolls take up residence in Jun's home and a past enemy of Shinku's appears, Jun's life grows far more intricate than he ever imagined.
