Synopsis

Continues the story of FINAL FANTASY XV: EPISODE ARDYN – PROLOGUE

During an era when deities dwell alongside humanity, the land of Eos is threatened by a dark presence. Daemons ravage the countryside, overwhelming armies with unstoppable force and pushing mankind to the brink. In this chaos, the distinguished House Caelum gains the people's trust thanks to their sacred healing abilities, capable of cleansing the affliction spread by these creatures. Since the first human kingdom lacks a sovereign to lead its citizens, the gods urgently seek an appropriate ruler. A descendant of the Caelum family becomes the top choice. A conflict emerges between the charismatic and manipulative Somnus Lucis Caelum and his kinder, selfless brother Ardyn Lucis Caelum as they compete for the crown. As the situation becomes more intense and the risks increase, the result of their rivalry will decide the world's fate.

In this installment

In the world of Eos, the Niflheim Empire has conquered much of the land, leaving only the kingdom of Lucis, home to the last Crystal, to resist. The Crystal, located in Lucis' capital, Insomnia, holds immense power that the empire covets. To defend his realm, King Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII activated the Crystal’s magic to create a protective barrier around Insomnia. Additionally, he established the Kingsglaive, a specialized military force whose strength derives from the king himself. They stand guard against Niflheim and other dangers threatening Lucis. Nyx, a member of the Kingsglaive, earns the moniker "The Hero" among his comrades because of his overconfident nature and his eagerness to rescue others. His arrogance leads him to ignore orders from his superior, resulting in his demotion. As a consequence, Nyx now patrols the city gates. His life takes a new turn when rumors circulate that King Regis intends to negotiate a peace deal with the empire they've been fighting.
