Synopsis
Sanmao, with his oversized head and mere three strands of hair, once enjoyed a joyful, carefree childhood in a humble home. War, however, turned him into an orphan left to fend for himself, even facing torment from stray dogs and crows. In one desperate instance, a kind old fisherman rescues him, offering a brief, cherished taste of safety and happiness. But this reprieve is short-lived when thieves steal their meager earnings and brutal bandits take the old man's life. What awaits him remains uncertain. This animated series adapts the renowned comic of the same name by celebrated artist Zhang Leping.
