Continues the story of Your Lie in April: Moments
At the prestigious Towa Hall, three piano prodigies take part in a competition, beginning with the exceptionally talented Kousei Arima. His first performance, full of emotion, captivates the fiery Emi Igawa, but over time Kousei transforms into a pianist renowned for his exactness and perfectionism, drawing the notice of the eccentric Takeshi Aiza. Without either being aware of the other, Emi and Aiza begin channeling their musical energies toward Kousei—Emi hoping to restore his earlier passionate style through her own vibrant playing, and Aiza fueled by his admiration for Kousei as he strives to beat him in a genuine rivalry.
In this installment
Kousei Arima, once hailed as the "Human Metronome," was a piano prodigy whose flawless timing brought him acclaim and fame under his mother's strict instruction. Following her unexpected death, Kousei lost the ability to hear the piano, prompting him to abandon performing. Now a junior high student, he leads a mundane existence with friends Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryouta Watari, grappling with his loss while still holding onto his passion for music. His colorless world shifts when he meets the unconventional violinist Kaori Miyazono, who insists on drawing him back into the spotlight as her accompanist. Through a touching deception, Kousei and Kaori grow closer, with Kaori resolved to restore brightness to Kousei's life.
