Synopsis
Gunma Akagi, a rural teen, often causes chaos with his modified tractor, annoying his father Souichirou Akagi, an aspiring politician who demands the family maintain a proper image for his career. One night, while driving on the highway with his best friend Tamotsu Oishi, Gunma is passed by a speeding car. Viewing this as a dare, he attempts to beat the rival driver but crashes spectacularly. The loss ignites a competitive fire, driving Gunma to defeat the unknown opponent no matter the cost. He soon abandons his quiet hometown for the city, setting his sights on becoming a Formula One champion.
