In the frozen remnants of what was once a bustling city, the silence is broken only by the rumble of a motorcycle engine. Chito and Yuuri ride this bike as the last survivors of a ruined urban landscape. They search through abandoned military bases for supplies, moving through the dead terrain while pondering the mysteries of the past. Though they often face loneliness, their bond helps them endure their solitary existence as the final humans. Yuuri's cheerful clumsiness and Chito's calm demeanor bring small moments of brightness to their somber routine, whether through target practice, finding books, or playful snowball fights in the wintry battlefield. Some individuals prefer to utilize their newly acquired powers even as they are overwhelmed by them; others urgently wish to be rid of conditions that are, in fact, safeguarding them from disaster. Those who come into contact with Mushi must learn to reconcile with improbable consequences of their actions and mend wounds they were unaware of. Failure to do so may lead to incomprehensible fates.

Across the countryside, people stop at noon to observe a rare solar eclipse, which is said to offer a chance to see Mushi. While the crowd gazes in wonder, those familiar with Mushi brace themselves for what follows this celestial event. Prompted by a prophecy from Tanyuu Karibusa, the Mushishi Ginko arrives at a doomed farming village. Right after the eclipse, a strange black cloud appears overhead, plunging the village back into darkness. Suspecting that a Mushi called Hihami is responsible, Ginko aims to free the village from its endless shadow. Yet some villagers seem hesitant to welcome back the light.

During a bright summer, a young boy hears cheerful bell sounds coming from the nearby mountains. Many years afterward, on the same mountain, the mushishi Ginko comes across a strange girl whose body is sprouting weeds. Shortly after, Ginko encounters Yoshiro, now an adult, as he departs from the mountain. With Yoshiro's assistance, Ginko starts to solve the mystery of the mysterious girl and what happened to her. This story adapts the final arc from the manga, Mushishi Zoku Shou: Suzu no Shizuku, and follows Ginko's remarkable journey into the supernatural as he tries to comprehend the girl Kaya and the mountain that has become her home.

Despite their extensive knowledge, the Minai clan displays a brutal demeanor that distinguishes them from other Mushishi. They also show a marked indifference to beauty and emotion. Tanyuu suspects there may be deeper causes behind this attitude. As Ginko works alongside Kumado, they explore the "Path of Thorns"—a region dense with unique and dangerous Mushi that flow from unknown sources into the mortal world. Within those treacherous reaches lies the key to understanding the true purpose and nature of the Minai clan's unwavering commitment to their ancient mission.

This helps Aoi gain confidence, build stronger friendships, take on new challenges, and find her love for climbing once more.

In Moomin Valley, spring brings fresh adventures for Moomintroll and his neighbors. After Snufkin comes back from his winter travels, the valley comes alive. Later, during the middle of autumn, Hinata Kuraue and Aoi Yukimura flip through a scrapbook from their childhood. While poking around in Aoi's room, Hinata discovers that she has kept a peculiar acorn as a memento, though she cannot recall the reason behind it. As the discovery lingers in her mind, a flood of old memories surfaces, prompting her to reflect on a forgotten incident from her youth. From time spent with loved ones to promises made in the past, Yama no Susume: Omoide Present follows the three girls as they treasure old memories while creating new ones to remember.

In Moominvalley, strange events begin to worry the inhabitants. Moomin, Sniff, and Mymble set out on a journey to the Observatory on the Lonely Mountains to verify the Muskrat's troubling forecast that a comet is heading toward Moominvalley and may bring immense destruction. On their way, they encounter Snufkin, the Hemulen, and the Snorks, and they go through a series of different adventures.

A direct follow-up to Tanoshii Moomin Ikka. The gentle and peaceful Moomin trolls inhabit the remote, mysterious Moomin Valley. Young Moomin and his household encounter a variety of strange adventures, ranging from magical to everyday. This series is based on Tove Jansson's children's stories. Note: In some countries, these episodes are regarded as part of the first season.

The show is based on Tove Jansson's Finnish Moomin books but departs heavily from them. With major alterations to the story, atmosphere, character traits, appearances, and names, Jansson rarely gave her approval to this version. In addition, unlike the original source material, this program is made for an adult demographic rather than children.

In "Tico and Friends," after the death of her mother, a young girl named Nanami Simpson moves to live with her father, Scott Simpson, on the marine research vessel Peperonchino. Scott, a marine biologist, is searching for a legendary creature known as the glowing whale. When he finds only the bones of this elusive animal, he becomes discouraged and instead focuses on protecting and caring for marine life. Nanami develops a close friendship with an orca she calls Tico, swimming alongside it every day. Eventually, she gains the remarkable ability to breathe underwater, astonishing her father. One day, Nanami nearly drowns, but a glowing whale rescues her and brings her safely back to the ship, finally allowing her father to see the creature he had been chasing for so long.

After civilization crumbles, the only human left and her dog, Haru, trek across a barren wasteland, yet this story avoids the typical bleakness of a doomsday narrative. Haru, a shiba inu with wisdom far beyond his years and the ability to speak, ensures his master never succumbs to post-apocalyptic despair through his witty antics, funny observations, and deep philosophical musings. Although she might be the last girl on Earth, having Haru by her side guarantees that their journey through the apocalypse will never be dull.

After the demon wars conclude, the Flower Division finally gets a chance to rest following their intense battles. In Sakura Wars 2, the narrative centers on exploring each member of the Flower Division Combatees through episodic stories, as they set out on various adventures across Japan.
