Synopsis
Kumiko Oumae arrives at Kitauji High School with the intention of leaving her past behind. However, her new friends, Sapphire Kawashima and Hazuki Katou, pull her into the school’s band club, forcing her to play the euphonium once again. The ensemble is currently unprepared for the local Sunfest festival, let alone national competition. Their new advisor, Noboru Taki, offers a stark choice between casual enjoyment and rigorous training aimed at reaching the nationals. Haunted by her middle school failures, Kumiko questions whether they should pursue such high goals. The situation intensifies when she discovers that Reina Kousaka, a former bandmate with whom she shares a strained history, has also joined Kitauji. Under Noboru’s demanding regimen, Kumiko and her peers must navigate their personal conflicts and grow together to achieve their musical aspirations.
