Synopsis
Continues the story of Saiyuki Reload
In their continued journey westward, the Sanzo Ikkou—consisting of the priest Genjo Sanzo and his companions Cho Hakkai, Sha Gojyo, and Son Goku—works to prevent the revival of the mighty demon Gyoumao. As their reputation, whether notorious or celebrated, precedes them, the group endures constant assaults from demon killers. At the same time, internal discord risks weakening their bond as they face a powerful enemy.
In this installment
While traveling, the Sanzou group encounters a typical ambush by rogue demons, but they soon realize their attackers are actually human. Puzzled by this unusual turn of events, they meet a wandering priest named Hazel Grouse and his formidable protector, Gaty Nene Hawk. Hailing from the distant West, Hazel uses his power to resurrect the dead, offering comfort to grieving communities. Though the villagers appreciate his abilities, the reality behind them is far more sinister than it appears. Furthermore, those he brings back develop golden eyes—a feature also shared by the recent human assailants. It becomes evident that this seemingly benevolent priest has hidden agendas, and the Sanzou team edges closer to uncovering his true motives.

Saiyuuki Reload: Zeroin is a remake of the 2nd half of Saiyuuki Reload Gunlock, and adapts Saiyuuki Reload manga's Even a Worm arc.
