Synopsis

The Foxes and The Rabbits, two animal baseball teams, clash on the field for dominance. As the game reaches its decisive moment, The Foxes' star hitter comes to bat, carrying his team's final chance for victory. His concentration wavers, however, when a lovely female fox cheers for him from the bleachers, causing him to lose sight of the last pitch. Originally produced as a short film in September 1949 by Kindaieigasha Co., Ltd., "Kitsune no Homerun-O" (Fox, The Home Run King) was directed by Satoshi Morino with animation by Kazue Saku and Terada Noboru. In 1957, it was imported by East-West TV Inc., dubbed into English using a single narrator while retaining the original Japanese voices for the animal characters, and released as "Seventh Inning Stretch" by Medallion TV for syndication in the United States.
