Synopsis
In moments of crisis, a mysterious red phone number may appear, connecting to Yato, a minor deity who calls himself the Yato God. He dreams of gaining millions of followers, yet without a single shrine, he remains far from that goal, scraping by with cheap five-yen jobs. His situation worsens when his weapon partner leaves him, frustrated by his perceived incompetence. But fate steps in when middle schooler Hiyori Iki seemingly sacrifices her life to save Yato from a car accident. Though she survives, her spirit becomes unstable, causing her soul to detach from her body. Determined to return to normal, Hiyori demands Yato fix this issue, which requires finding a new weapon partner. Reluctantly, she agrees to assist him in his search, offering a faint hope that Yato's luck may be turning.
