After the tenth NOVA battle, the Chevalier determines that NOVA attacks are increasing and that their loss of Pandora soldiers is faster than they can produce new ones. In a society where personal computers called Persocoms closely resemble humans, the true nature of love is put to the test. During the summer vacation, Charlotte hopes to enjoy some personal time with Ichika at his home, but her plans are disrupted when Cecilia also decides to visit. Soon after, Houki, Lingyin, and Laura all show up as well. The following day, Houki assists with her family's shrine for a summer festival and is taken aback to find Ichika there.
