Synopsis
In 1882, Sanshirou travels to Tokyo in search of a worthy martial arts instructor. He encounters Yano, a judo master who single-handedly defeats 39 jujitsu practitioners. Deeply impressed by this feat, Sanshirou decides to become Yano's disciple. Later, Sanshirou develops feelings for Sayo Murai, whose father is a martial arts teacher at the local police department. Additionally, he must confront Higaki Gennosuke, a skilled jujitsu fighter who becomes his greatest rival.
