Synopsis
After school one day, first-year high school student Yomogi Asanaka discovers a starving man living under a bridge. The strange drifter introduces himself as Gauma and tells Yomogi that he is a "kaiju user," someone who deals with the kaiju—monsters that bring destruction to the city and its people. The next evening, Yomogi encounters Gauma again along with his classmate Yume Minami. At the same time, a kaiju appears in a crowded part of the city. Because Gauma lacks experience controlling the kaiju, he pulls a mysterious object from a glowing pouch, summoning a giant robot called Dynazenon. The mecha requires four people to operate, dragging Gauma, Yomogi, Minami, and Koyomi Yamanaka—an unemployed man wandering the streets—into its cockpit. Their encounter with the kaiju marks the start of their involvement with kaiju eugenicists—kaiju users who manipulate kaiju with malicious intent—and their struggle to unlock Dynazenon's full potential.
Background
SSSS.Dynazenon is a part of the 2018 Gridman Universe shared media project by Tsuburaya Productions. It was first announced in December 2019 during Tsuburaya Productions' Tsubucon convention.
