Synopsis
In Tokyo, a hidden menace lurks in the form of ghouls—creatures that look human and blend into society. Ken Kaneki, a quiet university student absorbed in his studies, remains unaware of the growing danger until he meets Rize Kamishiro, an alluring woman who invites him on a date. As they walk home, Kaneki discovers Rize's true nature when she reveals her deadly intentions. After a violent encounter, he wakes up in a hospital, learning that his life was saved through the transplantation of Rize's organs, which have now altered his body. With his body undergoing unsettling changes, Kaneki becomes a human-ghoul hybrid. Struggling to hold onto his humanity, he navigates the escalating conflict between ghouls and the government forces determined to eradicate them.
